Xiaomi’s new Mi TV Lux OLED Transparent Edition has been launched in China by Xiaomi as a part of their 10 years anniversary event . This is announced along with the other two ultra phones today by Xiaomi, Mi 10 Ultra and Redmi K30 Ultra.

The TV is so futuristic and has “cutting-edge display technology and exquisite industrial design” as stated by the company. It is the world’s first mass produced “transparent” TV. The TV’s screen looks like a fully transparent glass when switched off and images look like floating in air when switched on. The company states that the TV displays” awe-inspiring colors that brings images to life.”

The TV also supports Always-on-display and has many customization available for the users. The objects behind the TV and the lighting of the room will surely alter the viewing experience. Until today there were only prototypes of such TV from LG, Panasonic and others, this is the first Transparent Smart TV that is coming from Xiaomi.

“The pictures it displays seem to be floating in the air, merging the virtual and the real to bring an unprecedented visual experience,” as said by Xiaomi. The TV is powered by the custom made MediaTek 9650 which runs with AI Master Smart Engine with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

It also supports Dolby Atmos Audio along with Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD. The TV runs on custom made MIUI for TV specifically designed to enhance the transparent viewing experience.
