Xiaomi started to rollout MIUI 12 update INDIA, list of eligible devices and all new features

MIUI 12 has been finally announced in India by Xiaomi after launching it in China a few months ago. The MIUI 12 software update has started rolling to Indian users. Here we have explained all the new features of MIUI 12, and list of Xiaomi device that will support / Eligible for MIUI 12 update.

MIUI 12 Features:

The MIUI 12 will have a major upgrade in it’s UI and privacy, like most android users want it to be.

The Software will have more animations and newer visualizations. The settings, clock and other system apps have got all new visuals. If you swipe down from the top center of the screen, you can see the notification section dedicated completely for the notifications.

Well, then what about the quick toggles and settings?

The quick toggles are situated in the control center which can be accessed by swiping down from top right of the screen. The new weather app has new weather animations which change according to the real-time weather in the specified location. New Dark mode works well with the system apps as well as with the third party apps.

For the first time on MIUI ever, the phone will be having an in-built app drawer. Many MIUI users used the Poco Launcher mainly for the app drawer wherein apps were more organized to categories and can be found easily using the search-apps feature.

There is also a Ultra Battery Saving Mode which restricts the phone from using the battery for any battery draining purposes, you can use it mainly for calls, messages and such. The company claims that the phone can be used for around 5 hours with just 5% of battery left.

The user privacy is also enhanced on the UI such as allowing to remove location and other metadata before sharing a picture with others. There is also a private casting mode where private content like notifications or calls won’t be casted. MIUI 12 has Samsung’s One UI-like floating windows for notifications from different apps.

Other features include smooth animations with improved details, new calendar features and Super Wallpaper feature. The popular Super Wallpaper feature will be restricted to the Redmi K20 Pro and Mi 10 5G. Similarly, animations will be restricted to higher-end phones due to resource limitation. There is also the Always-on-display features introduced on MIUI 12.

Overall, the MIUI 12 is a fresh UI for Xiaomi lovers and the users will love it even more with the new smooth animations.
