But it looks like the Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi is going to take a big lead in developing revolutionary charging technologies as the company has patented some really outstanding technology. Xiaomi introduced 200W HyperCharge technology earlier this year, and it has now filed a patent that will allow devices to charge through the use of sound.
Xiaomi filed a patent claiming to come up with a charging solution that will utilize sound to charge the batteries on electronic devices. Xiaomi listed the patent on China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), which revealed some key features about Xiaomi’s new sound charging technology.
The patent images indicate that the technology will mainly compromise a sound charging device, an energy storage mechanism, and an electronic device. The vibration from the surrounding will be collected and converted into mechanical vibration. Then, by means of some electronic device, the mechanical vibration will be converted into alternating current. Then finally, the alternating current will be converted into direct current to use for charging.
Xiaomi claimed that smartphones and other electronic devices will be charged effectively through this sound charging technology without the necessity of power sockets.
However, this is not the only effort Xiaomi is putting in to make device charging easy. Earlier, the company also proclaimed a 200W HyperCharge technology for fast charging. The technology claims to charge a 4000mAh battery in just a span of eight minutes.
