Xbox Series X may launch in November
It was at E3 2019 that our much beloved video gaming brand, Xbox introduced an upcoming video game console project- Xbox Series X as a part of ‘Project Scarlett’. It comes as a part of Xbox’s 4th generation family of product hardware. With the Xbox fanbase rife with anticipation surrounding the launch of Microsoft’s next gen gaming console, it seemed to be only a matter of time till we had more leaks about the Xbox Series X to stoke the flames of excitement.
And just as we said it, there has been a leak on social media platforms that suggest the launch of the gaming console may be very well nearer than expected. As a part of a recent development Aaron Greenberg, General Manager of Xbox Games Marketing at Microsoft, had made a huge announcement about the Xbox Series X that is soon going to launch in the month of November this year. Apart from tweeting this on Twitter, he had also changed his Twitter’s profile picture to that of the Xbox logo. This was surely more than enough to make the Xbox fanbase go crazy. https://twitter.com/tomwarren/status/1293308070022569984
Xbox Series X may launch on November 6th. A tipster tells me boxes of the new controllers have a do not open date of November 6th on them. These controllers leaked earlier this week https://t.co/oyhlbg2SKo pic.twitter.com/dq096shN7L

But this is not all that is there to it. This soon became old news in light of yet another development, a leak to be precise that was tweeted on Twitter by Tom Warren, senior editor at The Verge. Warren claimed that he had received an anonymous tip from a tipster. The tweet includes a very specific image of a box that the anonymous tipster had apparently purchased recently. The pic further shows the box having instructions for retailers to not display or sell the unreleased controllers before 6th November 2020.
So yes! While Microsoft had confirmed the launch to be in November through Aaron Greenberg’s recent tweet, the latest development in fact confirms the date to be specifically 6th November. The COVID-19 pandemic may have ravaged the distribution systems of businesses worldwide, with Microsoft’s Xbox being no exception, it seems we won’t have to wait too long before we can get our hands on their upcoming Xbox Series X, when they hit the stores!
But enthusiasts should still take this with a grain of salt as Microsoft has remained mum on any specific date for the launch as of yet. In a recent statement by the tech giants, a spokesperson stated that “We have a lot in store for Xbox in 2020 and can’t wait to share with you. However, we have nothing to announce at this time.”
What’s more is that this leak comes with a list of past leaks related to the Xbox Series X. Initially, quite a few people had managed to purchase the controller, albeit it is unknown how they ended up on sale. They did find on the Microsoft website that the warranty would expire on 5th June, 2021, an year after the now alleged launch date of 6th November, 2020, thereby further cementing the possibility. Following that, it was even leaked that Halo: Infinite would have a delayed launch, being postponed to 2021.
So, there’s that. While Microsoft has remained hush on the date of launch, going by the history of leaks that keep on coming, we may soon find ourselves more information regarding the new controller!
