With Harmony OS, Huawei is expected to launch the P50 Series on June 2

Huawei is all-set to launch its latest P50 series smartphones, including Huawei P50, Huawei P50 Pro, and Huawei P50 Pro plus, along with other devices. The company announced that the launch will take place on June 2, with the Harmony OS update.

It is worth noting here that leaked images of the Huawei P50 smartphone were shared on the internet, months before the company made this announcement. The leaked images of P50 smartphone rendered that the device will sport a quad-camera system, designed in two circular rings. And now, the latest image teased by the company reveals two circular bumps, which we believe are camera rings (so this confirms that rumours were actually true).

As per the rumours, 3 sensors were spotted on the upper ring and one in the lower ring. The lower ring houses “Sony IMX800 1-inch main sensor along with LED flash”. Reports suggest there could be “telephoto camera” in the upper ring; however there is no mention of a periscope on the P50 model, but we believe it will be featured on other variants of P50 series.

The basic Huawei P50 smartphone is rumoured to feature a 6.3-inch punch-hole screen; the punch-hole front selfie camera situated in the centre. As mentioned before, the Huawei P50 series will come with the latest Harmony OS update.

The company also said that all of its devices that are running on operating systems between HiSilicon Kirin 710 to Kirin 9000 will get the Harmony OS update, on June 2. As of now, the company has not shared any detailed information, if Huawei will release the Harmony OS update on June 2, or it will be rolled-out on a different day. Nevertheless, we will provide further information after the June 2 event.
