Will Oppo Reno 4 Pro Stand Strong Against its Competitors?

Majority of Smartphone companies have a series of phones which they continue to expand. Each generation is upgraded to bring better features to the consumers. This is generally done every year, but for Oppo it is a different case. Oppo introduced the Reno series last year. In just 1 year, the company is now coming in with the 4th successor. Just 4 months ago, the company launched its Oppo Reno 3 Pro and now they have returned with the Reno 4 Pro.

Display

Oppo Reno 4 Pro will feature a beautiful 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display. It has a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180 Hz touch sampling rate. The device records a peak brightness of 1,100nits. It has a screen-to-body ratio of about 92%.

The display has a hole-punch selfie camera on the top-left corner. There is also a fingerprint scanner embedded in the display itself. At last, the phone has curved edges on both its sides. Although many people see no use of it, this gives the phone a classy look.

Camera

The Reno 4 Pro will have a quad-camera set-up vertically aligned. This would include a 48-Megapixel primary camera with a Sony IMX586 sensor, an 8-Megapixel ultra-wide, a 2-Megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-Megapixel mono sensor for phase detection. On the front, the Reno 4 Pro will have a 32-Megapixel camera with a Sony IMX616 sensor. This is the same sensor that the OnePlus Nord uses.

The phone has taken an extra measure to expel the shaking while taking videos. The EIS (Electronic image stabilization, the technique used to increase the stability) will work both on the front and the back camera.

The company has also included an Ultra Night Mode. This is said to supply both the portrait mode and the Night Mode together. This is one feature the selfie-lover will be crazy about.

Battery

Coming to the battery, the Reno 4 Pro will house a 4,000mAh battery. The amazing thing is that the phone would support 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 charging technology. Due to this, the phone’s battery will get charged from 0-100% in 30 minutes. Oppo will also provide a 65W charger in the box. If we compare the last model in this series, in the time that phone was charged to 25%, the Reno 4 Pro reached 50%. Just by this example we can see the amount of advancement that Oppo has done.

Also, Oppo has developed a Super Power Saving Mode. The company claims that due to this, users can chat on WhatsApp for 1.5 hours or make calls for 77 minutes with just five percent of battery power!

Processor, Cooling System and Software

Unlike its competitors, unfortunately, the phone would not support 5G connectivity. This is because it would use the Snapdragon 720G chipset. This chipset will give users a smooth experience but the only problem with it is that it does not support 5G.

For people who face overheating problems, Oppo has now included a cooling system. This cooling system uses a combination of graphite tube, graphite sheet, and copper foil to better expel the heat. The device will obviously run the latest Android 10 along with its own ColorOS 7.2.

Storage and Connectivity

The Oppo Reno 4 Pro offers a 128GB internal storage. This would be expandable via microSD card. Coming to the Connectivity, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS/ NavIC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack is present on the phone.

The device will be launched in the mid-range of ₹ 34,990. (Check) With the attractive design, 65W fast-charging and the beautiful AMOLED display, the specifications of the phone look great. Oppo has surely made improvements from the last model.

But the coming few months are very crucial in the smartphone market. With so many companies launching their new models, will the Oppo Reno 4 Pro hold a chance?
