WhatsApp will soon add Multi-Device support, Disappearing Mode and View Once feature
WhatsApp has been always seen to constantly working on its application to provide a new experience to its users. And in the next few months, WhatsApp users are going to see some much awaited new features in the application including Multi-Device support.
In a recent interview with Wabetainfo(an independent portal that provides information about all the new WhatsApp related updates for iOS, Android and Windows), Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and WhatsApp head Will Cathcart, themselves, reported that they are working on adding some new features in the WhatsApp application and users will be able to use them soon in near future. Mainly, they talked about three new features that are “Multi-device” support, “View Once” and “Disappearing Message.”
According to them, WhatsApp will soon be featuring Multi-device support. Now, users will be able to synchronise their message and content on other devices also. Mark Zuckerberg also mentioned that the individual chats will still be end-to-end encrypted respecting user policies.
The other addition to the list of features will be the “View Once” feature. Similar to the one on Instagram, this feature will allow users to send a message that atomically gets deleted after viewing once.
WhatsApp will also upgrade the “Disappearing Mode.” Well, WhatsApp already has the disappearing mode but it is working on modifying it so you will be able to turn on disappearing messages across all chat threads.
In further talks, Facebook CEO Zuckerberg stated that “It’s been a big technical challenge to get all your messages and content to sync properly across devices even when your phone battery dies, but we’ve solved this and we’re looking forward to getting it out soon!”
WhatsApp head Will Cathcart gave hints about the launching of a “Multi-device” feature in the next couple of months(that too in the public beta). But there is no information about when the “View Only” and “Disappearing Mode” will be entering, not yet.
According to some previous articles of Wabetainfo, there will also be some other features allowing users to be able to transfer chat history between iOS and Android and moreover users will be able to add contacts via QR code.
