WhatsApp may introduce Waveforms for voice messages, Hidden online status for business accounts soon
Instant messaging app company, WhatsApp is reported to be working on updating its voice message features. Now, WhatsApp users might see the “Waveforms” designs while recording a voice note, much like the Instagram voice note recording.
According to the reports, the waveform voice note feature was first received by the 2.21.13.17 build WhatsApp beta for Android. However, it was later discarded temporarily for making some more changes, after receiving complaints from some users. Now the next update of WhatsApp is most likely to come up with the new waveform voice recording feature. Moreover, there will also be an update regarding the status and last seen for a business account on WhatsApp.
The new update information was revealed by the famous WhatsApp tracker Wabetainfo. According to them, the new WhatsApp update will feature the voice recording in the waveforms designs. Similar to Instagram, you will see large and small waves according to the pitch of your voice while recording a voice note. Also, users will be able to stop the recording and listen to it before sending it to a person. Till now, WhatsApp does not facilitate listing the recorded notes before sending them. However, there is no information about when this update will be revealed as the feature is still under development.
Apart from the waveform voice notes, WhatsApp is also reported to bring some modifications in the online status and last seen details for business accounts. WABetaInfo noticed that in the WhatsApp beta 2.21.13.17 version, there was no last seen and online status mentioned under the account name. However, you can still see the last seen and status in the non-beta version of Whatsapp for both iOS and Android.
There is no official announcement from the messaging company about the new update and its release, not yet. But we can assume the new features to come up with the next WhatsApp update.
