Smartphones from Vivo iQOO have received a good remark as a flagship competitor in India. Even this company comes under the BBK Electronics Corporation like Oppo, Vivo, Realme and OnePlus. A new smartphone from VIvo iQOO 5 is going to be announced pretty soon by the company. The phones coming will be in the IQOO 5 series and will be featuring amazing features to compete with some of the flagship phones in the market. There might be more than one phone to be announced, the normal one and a Pro version.
The date of announcement has been confirmed to be on 17th of August. We can even call it the flagship killer smartphone for carrying some extraordinary features. Some of the specifications have been revealed recently from renders and leaks.
One of the major features the phone is carrying is the support for 120W fast charging technology. This will be the first phone to be available with a charging speed greater than 100W in the market when it will be released.
This was confirmed by the company themselves, revealing it in a video they posted along with the TUV Rheinland certification. When we hear such a high speed charging rate, everyone’s concern will be the temperatures the phone will be reaching while charging but no worries because as said by the company the temperatures will be normal at around 25 degrees room temperature.
The Vivo iQOO 5 has been spotted on Master Lu Listing that scored 139,720 in the CPU test, and 229,986 in the GPU exam and confirming a regular Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset.
Why did I call it regular?
It is because the 865 chipset is not currently the fastest chipset in the market. There are already phones having the Snapdragon 865 plus chipset which is the fastest chipset currently. The chipset will surely support the 5G network connectivity. The chipset will be having a 2.84GHz maximum CPU frequency. The Snapdragon 865 is to be paired with 8GB of RAM and 128gb of ROM of the LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 varieties.
Furthermore specifications about the screen and display comes from a post from Weibo revealing the screen refresh rate and color gamut. The phone will be featuring a curved display like many phones in the market and will be having a high frame rate of up-to 120Hz with a FULL HD+ display, 1080 x 2376 pixels resolution and a 19.8:9 aspect ratio.
Vivo iQOO 5 will be having a AMOLED display of size 6.44” with 240Hz touch response and a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. It will be having a punch-hole notch display on the top left corner of the display housing a selfie camera. There will be an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric security, which is usual in AMOLED displays.
There will be a quad camera setup on the rear consisting of a 64mp primary sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP lens for depth effect and a 13mp telephoto lens while there will be a single front selfie camera of 16mp in the punch-hole notch.
In the phone there will be support for connectivity options like dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Type-C port. The phone is said to be reaching a 100% charge from flat in just 15 minutes of time in pretty normal and safe battery temperatures with the 120W fast charging technology.
The prices and availability in India will be announced on August 17th by the company. We are expecting the 120W feature to be on the Pro version and the normal version to be coming at 55W charging technology.
