TCL NXTWEAR G smart glasses to be available in July

TCL introduced its TCL NXTWEAR G smart glasses at the start of this year. And now the company has officially confirmed that the wearable display glasses will be open for sale from the next month, that is July. Along with the NXTWEAR G, TCL also revealed the market launch month of MOVETIME Family Watch 2.

The company informed that the NXTWEAR G will be launched in only Australia for now and will be priced at $899 AUD (approx. Rs 50,500).

A point to note is that the company has claimed the smart glasses to be considered as an external display device for smartphone or laptop, rather than categorising them as a VR or an AR device.

The NXTWEAR G will provide the user with a screen display experience of 140-inch at a distance of 4 metres. The smart glasses come with two FHD Micro OLED Sony panels of 1080p. The NXTWEAR G display has an aspect ratio of 16:9 and facilitates a 47-degree field of view. Also, the glasses provide an impressive refresh rate of 60Hz.

The device does not feature a battery of its own and gets powered by the device it is connected to, through a Type-C USB. The smart glasses support any smartphone, tablet and laptop with a Type-C USB display port support. The smart glasses, along with the connecting cable weigh 180 grams.

The NXTWEAR G comes with stereo speakers already integrated into the glasses, however, TCL itself recommended using earbuds or headphones for a better experience. The device will firstly launch in the Australian market. However, there is no information about the devices’ availability in other regions.

Apart from that, TCL also launched the MOVETIME Family Watch 2 recently, which will be available in August on the European market for 149 Euros (roughly Rs 13,200).
