Sony’s flagship game console, PlayStation 5 or PS5 is now available again for purchase in India after the initial availability in January. Sony has now decided to go for a large scale restock of PlayStation 5 in India now. Both the PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition are up for pre-order since 12 pm midday today. Even though the deliveries are expected to begin on May 24, the Covid lockdown going on in various states may lead to a delay.
There isn’t any stark difference between both the models but PlayStation 5 Digital edition is cheaper as compared to the other one. That being said, the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition does not include a Blu-Ray disc drive that is available in the standard PS5 model but offers the same properties. The PlayStation 5 is available at a price of Rs 49,990 while the PS5 Digital Edition is priced at Rs 39,990.
The Sony PS5 is available for pre-order on Amazon, Flipkart, Sony Heart, Games The Shop, Prepaid Gamer Card, Reliance Digital and Vijay Sales. All of these retailers will probably have the disk version of the PS5 in stock while the digital edition of PS5 will be available only on Sony Center website ShopAtSC.
It is to be noted that the availability of the PlayStation 5 has been restricted by supply issues and provide points and as it has been observed earlier that a fresh inventory of the PS5 usually sells out in less than five minutes so it is a good idea for prospective buyers to individually visit the retailers’ websites and check back from time to time for restock updates so that you are able to pre-order without any issue. There are also reports as well that the restock is limited in quantity and seeing the past trends, it is expected to sell out quickly.

A long time after the PS5 became available for preorder, it was out of stock within minutes due to a shortage. It is possible that there weren’t enough devices compared with the demand. The standard disc variant was available for Rs. 49,990, while the digital edition was available for Rs. 39,990. When it’s available for pre-order again, we’ll inform you.
