Sony PlayStation 5 confirmed gaming titles lists and backward compatibility
We all know that Sony is going to bring an all new gaming console to it’s PlayStation series, the PlayStation 5. Alongside, Microsoft will be bringing their own gaming console to the Xbox consoles, Xbox Series X. Both the consoles will be competing with each other with their new features majorly in backward compatibility.
In the Xbox Series X, the console will let us play all the Xbox One games which is well known by everyone. We also heard that the PS5 will also be letting us play PS4 games on the new console, but not all of them.
Sony stated that “we believe that the overwhelming majority of the 4,000+ PS4 titles will be playable on PS5.” We still are not sure whether PlayStation 5 will be running every game of PS4 or not. As stated by the company, they mentioned in a way which means not all of them will be supported or most of them will be supported, but from the recent rumours and leaks which claims all PS4 games will be supported on PS5 without any need of testing by the users.
Many of the users seem to be posting that they have seen some deleted posts which mention that every single game of PS4 will be running on PS5 but not “perfectly” and the reasons for deleting the posts is to respect the platform holder. On the other hand, Xbox X series will be running all the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and other Xbox backward compatible games.
Meanwhile there are some confirmed games for the PS5 including the third party games like Resident Evil Village, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Hitman 3 and we already know that some of this generation’s biggest hits are getting new PS5 versions, including Grand Theft Auto V, Destiny 2 and Fortnite.
Here’s a list of all the game titles confirmed to be on PS5 until now :
- Horizon II: Forbidden West
- Spider-Man: Miles Morales
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Resident Evil Village
- Doom Eternal
- The Elder Scrolls
- Turismo 7
- NBA 2K21
- Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart
- Hitman 3
- Astro’s Playroom
- Demon’s soul
- Little Devil Inside
- Solar Ash
- Jett: The Far Shore
- Ghostwire Tokyo
- Goodbye Volcano High
- Kena: Bridge of Spirits
- Oddworld Soulstorm
- Sackboy A Big Adventure
- Destruction AllStars
These are the officially confirmed game titles for the PlayStation 5 console.
The Sony PlayStation 5 should be working on backward compatibility a lot more than Xbox to win the gaming console race so in conclusion I would say that the backward compatibility will be working well with all the PS4 games.
Many gamers who are looking forward to buying a next gen gaming console are still confused on what to choose among Xbox X series and the PlayStation 5 as both the consoles have almost equal performance and features.
