Japanese electronics corporation Sony has launched its new television namely the Sony Bravia 55-inch X90J in India which is a successor to the X90H series that was launched in India last year. Sony has also announced that it will soon launch the 65 inch and 75 inch screen size variants of the television in India as well. Currently the 55 inch X90J is available at a price of Rs. 1,39,990 and is said to be equipped with the latest technology that is available currently in Sony India.
It is to be noted that currently the television is available at a size of 55 inch only and it is one of the first televisions ever to support and run Google TV software as well. Interested customers can purchase the television from various Sony Centers, e-commerce and electronic retail stores across the nation easily.
The main highlight of the television is that it is based on Triluminos quantum dot technology which is almost the same as the technology that is used in other QLED TVs. It is an ultra HD 3840×2160 pixel HDR LED television with a 55 inch screen size and a refresh rate of 120 Hz which can also be varied as per need. The X90J also supports HLG, HDR 10, full array dimming, HDMI 2.1, auto low latency mode, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Audio that come under the Dolby Vision formats.
Another striking feature of the 55-inch Sony Bravia X90J (XR-55X90J) is that it supports XR cognitive processor which makes it one of the first televisions to support cognitive intelligence technology. By implementing this feature, the company claims that the television will be able to detect the exact focal length with respect to the viewer who is sitting in the front and then will enhance and amplify the picture quality keeping in mind the user’s perception as well.
As far as the sound is concerned the television supports a sound output of 20W. The X90J also has support for voice assistants like Alexa, Google voice assistant etc. In addition to this, the television sports features like support for IoT connection, Apple AirPlay 2, Apple HomeKit and Google Chromecast. Overall, the X90J series gives a serious competition to other QLED televisions that are currently available in the market.
