Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 user manual has been reportedly leaked which confirms sizes, specs, and features. Samsung will announce the arrival of Galaxy Watch 3 at its Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled on 5th August. Along with this, four other products which include the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series, 5G Galaxy Z Flip, and more is expected to be unveiled.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 is expected to come with 360×360 pixels display. It will feature a stainless-steel design. The device will have two buttons for controls on the right side of the dial which will be used as a back button and a home button. In addition to this, there will be a light sensor on the left area of the screen as well as the GPS antenna on the top area. The watch will also have a pressure vent located at the back. Along with this there will be a heart rate sensor.
Galaxy Watch 3 will come with an IP68 rating. It suggests that the device is fit enough to withstand dust, dirt, sand, and water. The device will have 1GB RAM, and 8GB onboard storage. It will be powered by Exynos 9110 SoC, which is designed by Samsung and introduced in 2018. It is a dual-core ARM based SoC for IoT (Internet of Things) devices like smartwatches. The watch will run on Tizen OS 5.5. This is an open-source operating system (OS) maintained by Samsung. It has been developed and optimized for smart devices since 2012.
Two variants of the smartwatch:
- Size 41mm with battery capacity of 247mAh and 1.2-inch Super AMOLED Corning Gorilla Glass DX
- Size 45mm with battery capacity of 340mAh and 1.4-inch Super AMOLED Corning Gorilla Glass DX
The watch will support Bluetooth 5.0 and LTE. The LTE model of the Galaxy Watch 3 is going to be Mystic Bronze and the Bluetooth variant in Mystic Black.
The device is expected to come with an electrocardiogram sensor (ECG) for detecting heartbeats, which can be used to investigate symptoms of a possible heart problem. This feature is also available on the latest Apple Watch models and recently came to Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Active 2. Other features which the device will have for fitness and wellness are sleep or stress monitoring, oxygen level tracking (one of the key features expected to hit the Apple Watch 6), and a post-run coaching feature.
The smartwatch is expected to be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event on 5th August. In this event, the company will show off a total of five products. The Apple Watch series 6 could be unveiled in the starting days of September. The two new smart watches, with somewhat similar features, are getting near to the launch date.
