Samsung has launched today, its most affordable smartphone in its M series line up Galaxy M01 Core, at just Rs. 5,499. This is the company’s third phone under the price tag of Rs 10,000. The other two were Galaxy M01 and Galaxy M01s. Notably it is going to be the cheapest phone launched by the company.
This smartphone by the company is based on the idea of making technology accessible and affordable by every class of people. With the growing needs and utility of smartphones every section of society wants to own one. This can particularly prove a good marketing strategy of Samsung. And it can gain a reasonable share in the market. This device will have features which are a must need.
The phone is powered by a quad-core MediaTek 6739 chipset. It has been developed on the latest Android Go platform with One UI that will support dark mode. Dark mode helps in reducing eye strain and helps in saving battery. And with Android Go, the phone will have special versions of Google’s apps that have been designed for devices with 1GB of RAM or less. These customized apps will make the user experience light and convenient.
The handset is equipped with a 5.3-inch HD+ display, with an intelligent screen feature, which sets dynamic screen timeout for power optimization. In addition to that it is just 8.6mm slim.

- The device will have an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and 5MP selfie camera.
- It will have a 3000mAh battery. And this will allow the users to use it for 11 hours without any disturbance.
- The phone will support Dual- Sim (Nano).
- The phone will offer connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Intelligent Input Features:
- ‘Smart Paste’ will allow users to paste their desired text like pasting the website URL from any application on the web browser, mobile number on phone dialer and email id in mail application, all extracted from the same message automatically.
- ‘Suggest Notification’ will warn users about low battery and will allow them to open their running app or they can also add any other apps in Maximum Power Saving Mode for extended run time.
- The phone will also have an ‘Intelligent Photo’ feature that will help users in detecting similar or duplicate photos and will give suggestions to them to keep the photo, while deleting the others. As a result, it will help to boost phone storage.

Galaxy M01 Core will be available in two variants: –
- Rs. 5,499 for the base 1GB RAM + 16GB internal storage option
- Rs. 6,499 for 2GB RAM + 32GB internal storage
The device will be available for purchase from 29th July. It will be available for purchase through Samsung’s retail stores and the Samsung India eStore. In addition to that it will also be available on leading online stores.
