Samsung Galaxy A22 to launch in India soon: Price and Specifications
Earlier this year, the Samsung Galaxy A22 went live in Europe in both 4G and 5G variants. Now, it is set to launch in India and the official launch is very soon. Before the official announcement has even been made, it is reportedly available in offline retail stores like Croma and Reliance etc. It has also been spotted in Samsung India’s official website with the model number SM-A226B/DS.
It may also be included with launch offers such which will cover the benefits of Samsung Care+, Samsung Finance+ and other premium features. Early offers could also include free home delivery of the smartphone.
In terms of the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy A22 comes with a 6.4-inch FHD+Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Based on Android 11, it will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 chipset with 6GB/4GB RAM and 256/128GB of internal storage which can be increased to 1TB by the use of a microSD card. It will support 15W fast charging and will feature a 5000mAh battery.
There will also be a side-mounted finger-print scanner and the smartphone is touted to be lightweight with just 186 grams of weight. It will feature a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and an accelerometer. On connectivity aspects, it will support Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, WiFi, LTE and a USB-C Type port.
For the Camera, it has a triple rear camera set-up with auto focus. It will feature a 48MP primary shooter with f/1.8 aperture, 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP camera with a f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, it boasts a 8MP camera on the front with f/2.0 aperture.
It will probably be launched with the grey, mint and white colours. Although there has been no announcement or official confirmation of the launch date and price, it is expected to release at Rs. 18,499 for the base 4G model according to leaked price revealed by 91Mobiles.
