The popular Chinese smartphone brand, Realme, could be working on adding another new device to its X series, the Realme X3 Pro. After the recent launch of the Realme X3 and X3 Zoom in June, now the next Pro model has been, reportedly, spotted on the cross-platform processor benchmark software, GeekBench 5.
While earlier thought to be launched alongside the previously launched models in this year, it has been said to have surfaced on GeekBench 5 along with some features and specifications. As spotted by the tipster, Abhishek Yadav, the handset supposedly has the model number RMX2083 in the listing on the benchmarking site.
It may be very likely powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset. The motherboard has been codenamed ‘msmnile’, something that is mostly associated with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC range. Note that the previously launched, original Realme X3 handset devices also ran on the Snapdragon 855+ SoC. This led to further speculations that the model number RMX2083 may indeed refer to the Realme X3 pro. It is said to have a base frequency of 1.78 GHz. The handset device is expected to run on the Android 10 software out of the box and offer a storage of 8 GB of RAM.
The model device scored 786 points in the single core test and 2,556 points in the multi core test. Rumours also indicate that the smartphone may come supporting 65W charging functionality.
However, on the other hand, the Realme X3 Pro was spotted listed on TUV Rheinland having the model number RMX2170. This listing hinted that the upcoming device may have a dual cell battery with 65W fast charging support. But in yet another leak by tipster Mukul Sharma, the RMX2083 model was tweeted to possibly have a single cell 4,200 mAh battery instead. While the Realme X3 range mostly include devices featuring dual cell batteries, this could perhaps point to the RMX2083 model being some other unknown device that is being worked on, of which we don’t have much of an idea.
The different model numbers popping out on different websites may be rather confusing and complicated. Not much can be said with guarantee until more details are revealed by either the company or further listings. While we can’t really say which model will ultimately turn out to be the much awaited Realme X3 Pro, the smartphone brand has previously teased a major announcement at the upcoming IFA 2020. The IFA 2020 will be taking place from 4th September onwards at Berlin. It is very well possible that Realme decides to unveil the Realme X3 Pro or reveal more details about the said handset.
No matter what it be, speculations and fan base excitement is now up a notch until further communications from the company. So, are you looking forward to the new product launch as well? What is your thought on the recent launches of the previous Realme devices? Let us know in the comments below!
