Realme has launched its new smartphone the Realme GT 5G at a virtual event at 5:30 p.m. IST today through a virtual event that was live-streamed on the company’s YouTube channel as well as on other prominent platforms. The smartphone has already been launched in China earlier this year in March. The brand also revealed design of its other devices the Realme Book which happens to be the first laptop to be developed by the company and a tablet namely the Realme Pad.
The Realme GT 5G will cost more globally than in China as per reports with the price of Rs 48,800 at the global markets. Earlier the China launch was rolled out at a price of Rs. 32,000 but it is to be noted that the China launch had the variant with 8 GB RAM and 182 GB storage whereas the global launch features the smartphone variant with 12 GB RAM and storage of 256 GB.
The Realme GT 5G has a display screen of 6.43-inch Full-HD with a Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and peak brightness of 1000 nits. The smartphone also comes with a Corning Gorilla 5 glass. As for the processor, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G SoC which is coupled with Adreno 660 GPU. As far as the storage specifications are concerned, the smartphone has up to 12 GB RAM and a storage of 256 GB. The smartphone houses a battery of 4,500mAh with support for 65 W fast charging.
At the rear, the smartphone has a triple rear camera setup with a 64MP wide primary sensor, an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. Additionally, at the front there is a 16 MP selfie camera. Other specifications include a fingerprint sensor which enhances the security of the handset, Dolby Atmos with High-Resolution audio and stereo speakers as well. As far as the connectivity is concerned, the smartphone supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2 and GPS. It also has a headphone jack of 3.5 mm and a USB port of Type-C to enable the charging process.
