Sony is bringing the PS5 for sale back to India. Players have been waiting so long since the release of the console and it is not being in stock due to less production of the console. It’s not easy to buy the console these days as players will have to search online and through all retailers to get their hands on the next-gen console.
Sony has said the retailers shouldn’t force the players into buying bundles of the PS5 or any kind of extra games with the console. Rather, they should be given the freedom to purchase in whatever manner they prefer. Whether that is with the bundle and extra games, or without. These extra games include the appealing Spider-Man Miles Morales, Demon’s Souls, Ratchet and Clank, Rift Apart etc.
It has been hard for the company to distribute the PS5 consoles throughout the country, and there is a report that the PS5 restocks that arrived in April, are still not publicly available to be purchased. It has been questioned when the next-gen console will be widely available in India, and some Indian gamers have taken to the internet to criticize Sony.
With both consoles supporting 8K gaming upto 120fps, the standard version with the disc slot will cost about Rs. 50,000 and the digital version about Rs. 10,000 lesser. Sony will be competing with the Xbox Series S, which is priced at Rs. 5,000 lesser than the digital version of the PS5. Compared to the digital version of the PS5, the Series S has lower power and storage space while Sony’s console does not compromise on the firepower and the performance.
Reportedly, the pre-order date in India will be June 23 at 12pm. It will include both the standard disc version and the digital edition and according to reports, it could be available on Amazon. Along with Amazon, other retailers in the country like Flipkart, Vijay Sales, Croma and reliance digital are expected to be selling the console as well. The orders given on this day would be expected to start shipping between June 30 and July 5. Last time the PS5 sale went live in India on May 27, the pre-orders of the restock were sold out in under a minute’s time.
