In recent years, Xiaomi emerged in India as one of the most popular smartphone brands. Since 2016, people started loving Xiaomi when it gave excellent features with less price. This made a drastic change in the Indian Smartphone market. People who used Samsung shifted to the Xiaomi. Its Redmi Note series is a much-loved series in India. But, the emergence of POCO as a budget gaming smartphone was a new milestone for Xiaomi Corp. It was too loved for its excellent Camera quality and its performance towards gaming.
After all these things, we have received a small piece of news today regarding the POCO series. Today (24 May 2021) Poco India, declared that it has set down the highest growth at 300% in the first quarter of 2021. Anuj Sharma, the director of POCO, India said that “Our rise to the top 3 in the online smartphone space in just 10 months was a testimony of the love and trust we have received from our fans and consumers. This trust has helped us achieve yet another milestone by achieving the highest growth among the top 10 smartphone brands in the first quarter of 2021,”. This means that the phone has emerged among the top 10 smartphone brands of India in 2021.
The manufacturer also stated that in March, the POCO X2 variant emerged as the best selling smartphone on the online shopping site, Flipkart under the price segment of 15000-20000 INR which is the most affordable price which most Indians can afford easily. The company also informed that they have sold nearly 500,000 units of the POCO M3 variant within the 45 days of launch which marks a big milestone for their company. “As we continue to grow in the market, we aim to focus on delivering the best and compelling proposition, without compromising on the quality of the devices,” Sharma added to his statement.
No doubt, this phone would achieve more milestones due to its brilliant features at an affordable price point which most Indians can afford. We will see more variants of the POCO brand in the upcoming years.
