Oppo Watch launched globally with Wear OS and SD 3100 chipset

Oppo has released its new oppo watch along with Reno 4 Pro today at it’s launch. This is the first in oppo’s smart watches. The smartwatch has almost all the features to give a tough competition to it’s rivals ( i mean Apple watch series) . Oppo has released the watch in two sizes. One in 41mm and the other in 46mm.

The Oppo Watch offers aluminium alloy build and matte finish and is square shaped unlike most of the other watches which are circular. There are multiple watch faces available on the watch to match your taste and can be changed with your smartphone.

It comes with Google’s Wear OS in it. Inside the watch there’s Qualcomm Snapdragon’s Wear 3100 processor and Ambiq Micro’s Apollo3 Wireless SoC with 1gb of RAM , 8gm ROM. It has a 3D curved AMOLED display with screen size of 1.91” (weighs 39.3gm)on the bigger Variant and 1.6” (30.1gm) on the smaller one. The display is 100% DCI-P3 color gamut for colorful display. The brightness goes as high as 1000nits , so don’t have to suffer to look at the watch under the sun.

The 46mm one has water resistance upto 50m and 41mm has water resistance up to 30m.

It has many features like heart rate monitoring, advanced health tracking, etc. Oppo Smartwatch comes with acceleration sensor, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, barometric sensor, optical heart rate sensor, Ambient light sensor and many.

This smartwatch has great features especially if you are a fitness freak. It has four optical heartbeat sensors to give the accurate heart rate. It keeps monitoring the heart rate the whole day. Oppo has put different types of workout modes in the watch like walking, running, swimming, 5 min workout class series and such. It also tracks your sleeping habits and has some guided breathing modes.

Apart from being a fitness watch, it also has smart watch features. Using the Bluetooth 4.2 technology it can be connected to your phone and can be used as a smart watch.

Oppo Watch has two buttons on the right side, one is the home button and the other is a multi functional button. You can access calls and messaging features without getting to your phone. By the way these two features are available only when connected to Android phones. There is no support on iPhone for these features (yet,maybe). The 46mm version also has LTE network features so you can use these features even when you don’t have your phone around. It also has control gestures , by swiping up,down left or right. You can also access the google assistant from the watch , see your cards , watch notifications ,quick replies,manage schedules or make mobile payments.

The battery is big enough for the watch. One the bigger one it gives a backup of upto 36 hours with smart mode and 21 days with power saving mode with a battery capacity of 430mAh. On the smaller one the battery gives 24 hours with smart mode and 14 days with power saving mode with a 300mAh battery capacity. It can be charged using the VOOC glash charging technology which gives 46% battery from flat in 15 minutes and 100% in 75 minutes. On the power saving mode you can receive message notifications, check the time ,track your steps and monitor your heart rate.

The watch is going to be available from August 10 most of the online and offline stores. On the 46mm variant there are Black and glossy gold colors and on the 41mm there are black ,pink gold and silver mist colors available.
