Oppo Power Bank 2 with 18W fast-charging support will launch in India tomorrow
Oppo is going to launch Oppo Power Bank 2 in India on Tuesday, August 18. It will be launched via Flipkart at 12pm (noon) tomorrow. The device has been listed on Flipkart. This new Power Bank is the successor to the Oppo 10,000mAh Power Bank which was launched late last year.
Specifications of Oppo Power Bank 2:
The Oppo Power Bank 2 has a 3D curved design for a better grip in hands. It will come with 10,000mAh battery capacity. The power bank can support 18W fast charging. It is compatible with USB Power Delivery (PD) and Quick Charge protocols. The device will also offer a low-current mode. This will be highly effective in charging devices like a smartwatch or TWS earbuds.
It is available in two colour options and has a sleek design. The Oppo Power Bank 2 has a 12-factor safety assurance. The company claims that it will protect the device from overvoltage, overcurrent, short-circuit, and more. The power button is on the side and an LED indicator on the front.
The new Power Bank will come with a two-in-one charging cable. It has connectors for both Micro-USB and USB Type-C devices. However, 18W charging speed can be achieved while powering up a single device at a time. The device will have a total of three ports: two regular USB ports and a Type-C port. Type-C port can be used to charge the power bank itself, as well as other devices.
Oppo 10,000mAh Power Bank:
The Oppo 10,000mAh VOOC flash charge power bank which was launched last year supports two-way charging. It is also compatible with all smartphones. It supports 20W fast charging. Also, this is priced at Rs 1,499.
Xiaomi 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh power bank
The Xiaomi 10,000mAh power bank also supports dual outputs, in the form of two USB Type-A ports. The power bank has Micro-USB and USB Type-C ports. But neither of them supports fast charging. The Xiaomi’s 20,000mAh power bank version supports 18w fast charging. The input rating is 5V and 2A, 9V and 2.1A, and 12V and 1.5A. Further, the output power is rated at 5.1V and 2.4A, 9V and 2A, and 12V and 1.5A. However, the price of these two power banks is nearly less than half of that of Oppo.
As for now, the Flipkart listing suggests that the Oppo Power Bank 2 will be priced at Rs. 1,999. However, this may not be the real price. The price and availability of the power bank will be revealed tomorrow.
