Oppo has launched one of their latest budget-friendly A-series smartphones, namely the Oppo A16s. One of the noticeable features of the Oppo A16s is its triple rear camera setup, which comes preloaded with features like Dazzling Mode, different Bokeh Filters, and AI Beautification. Additionally, Oppo also promises that the A16s will reduce the smartphone’s night-time power consumption. The design of the A16s is bezel-less and carries a notch as the housing for the front camera.
It comes in Crystal Black & Pearl Blue color variants. The smartphone is up for sale only in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, there is no update on whether the Oppo A16s will be available in other markets, including the Indian market. Hopefully, Oppo breaks the ice on this doubt and reveals if the smartphone will be arriving in other countries.

Oppo’s A16s runs on Oppo’s infamous ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11. And comes with a 6.52-inch HD+ EyeCare display that has a refresh rate of 60Hz. Additionally, the phone runs on the latest octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 SoC for fast performance. Moving on, the smartphone is available in a sole 4GB RAM plus 64GB storage, which is a slight upgrade from the previously launched Oppo A16. Accompanied with a System Booster built to reduce lags and optimize the overall experience of the smartphone, the Oppo A16s is a pretty healthy budget option.
The camera setup of the smartphone consists of a triple rear camera setup that includes a 13MP primary sensor, a 2MP monochrome sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. The primary sensor is capable of providing low apertures that are suitable for focus-based photography. Additionally, the UI of the Oppo A16s camera also comes with features like Dazzling Mode which bold out the colors in an image, Bokeh Filters, and AI Beautification to always make the person being clicked natural. The front camera of the smartphone, housed in the notch of the A16s, is an 8MP camera that is perfect for video calls and selfies. Packing the camera with an extravagant camera experience.
Sized at a whopping 5000mAh, the phone’s battery can stream YouTube for 21 hours without any issues and comes equipped with a Super Power Saving Mode and a Super Nighttime Standby Mode. The smartphone also provides a Night Charging AI that controls the phone temperatures while the smartphone is being charged.
Under connectivity options, the smartphone includes 4G LTE Support, MicroSD Slot, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Priced at EUR 149 (Rs. 13,000), the Oppo A16s fits into the budget smartphone category. And at this particular price point, it comes loaded with features. Unfortunately, there have been no official reports regarding its launch in India. So stay tuned regarding the same.
