The Chinese smart-device brand OnePlus is planning to dilate its Nord series by launching the direct successor of OnePlus Nord namely OnePlus Nord 2. In India, the new OnePlus smartphone is supposed to make its debut in the final week of July. A tweet from stufflisting informant Mukul Sharma claimed that the technology firm has chosen July 24, 2021, as the launch date of the OnePlus Nord 2.
The company officially teases the existence of the OnePlus Nord 2, powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI processor. However, OnePlus has not yet announced the device’s release date. Unless the firm makes any last-minute adjustments, July 24 is the final launch date, according to the tipster.
Users have witnessed multiple leaks of details and specifications about the forthcoming Nord series device, in the past. So, as far as the specifications of the handset are concerned, the cellphone is supposed to borrow its looks from the OnePlus 9 series. The smart gadget is confirmed to draw power from MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. The device is also expected to house a battery of 4,200mAh under its hood.
The phone will be available in two different configurations: 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage. A 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a punch-hole cut out on the top-left corner of the screen are all rumored to come with OnePlus Nord 2.
In terms of optics, Nord 2 is going to include a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor/macro camera. For selfies and video calls the device will feature a 32MP camera. For connectivity, the phone will have Dual-SIM 5G connection, as well as a dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C connector.
In India, OnePlus Nord 2 is supposedly estimated to start at a price of Rs. 29,999 which is somewhat more than the original OnePlus Nord.
