One Plus Technology Co., Ltd., is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer. The company creates beautifully designed smartphones with great build quality. It brings the best technology to users around the world. Recently, the company launched OnePlus Nord priced at Rs. 27,999 and now it appears that the company is ready with another model. A new OnePlus model, named ‘OnePlus CLOVER’ has been spotted on Geekbench. The listing revealed severe specifications of this new smartphone. It was uploaded on 5th August,2020.
Spotted Specifications:
The Geekbench listing for the OnePlus Clover is posted with 336 points in the single-core test and 1495 points in multi-core test score. OnePlus Clover will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset and octa-core processor. It is expected to run on Android 10 out-of-the-box. And will have a base frequency of 1.84GHz. It may carry 4GB RAM.
Speculations:
If we go by the listing, then the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset is a mid-range 64-bit ARM LTE system on a chip designed by Qualcomm years back. The OnePlus Nord is powered by Snapdragon 765G SoC which is much more recent, and more powerful. So, this can suggest that the OnePlus Clover can be less expensive than the recently launched OnePlus Nord, which is priced at Rs. 27,999 (mid-range budget friendly offering).
If the price of the OnePlus Clover will be less expensive than that of the OnePlus Nord and as it is powered by SD660 chipset then it can be expected that the phone will be an entry level phone. The company also launched OnePlus 8 which is a premium segment series. Thus, with this new device the company will be able to reach all the customers at every price level segment. This is a good step by the company. Also, it means that now the company will compete with entry level brand devices from companies such as Vivo, Oppo, Redmi and Realme.
The company can also release two more new mid-range smartphones which are speculated to be Billie 2T and Billie 8T under series Aurora. This was spotted in the OxygenOS Settings APK late last month. In addition, we can expect the arrival of OnePlus 8T and 8T Pro too in October. So, about 4 to 5 new smartphones from OnePlus are waiting to arrive in the market.
However, any more details regarding OnePlus Clover is still a mystery. There is no official confirmation by the company yet. The price and availability of the phone is also unknown.
