OnePlus CE 5G to launch on 10th June, confirmed by CEO Pete Lau

OnePlus has announced that the launch of Nord CE 5G in India is near. The manufacturer is going to launch the brand-new Nord handset in the Indian market on June 10. Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus has also claimed the presence of another variant of the Nord device which has the codename N200 5G. But this device will be launched in nations like the US and Canada. Lau also disclosed some important information regarding the Nord CE 5G.

He spoke to TechRadar and revealed that the word CE stands for Core Edition. It is a rebuilt edition of the OnePlus Nord which was launched last year in the Indian market. The design and specifications of the forthcoming OnePlus Nord were leaked by various reports previously. Let’s discuss the look and features of the upcoming OnePlus Nord CE 5G.

“We are continuing with our core principles and philosophy, which in terms of what we believe creates the best possible user experience through the products that we deliver. And this is something that will be continued in the upcoming launch on June 10,” Lau said “We have distilled the original Nord down to its core elements, and added a few extra features to create a great everyday phone at an even more affordable price,” he added to his statement. This means that this 5G handset might cost between 15,000 INR and 25,000 INR in India but the original Nord costs 24,999 INR. It will launch on June 10 in India and Europe.

Pete Lau also shared some information regarding the Nord N200 5G. It will be launched afterwards in nations like the US and Canada later this year. The specification of the device as well as the features are unknown presently. We can expect that it might be a budget smartphone with mid-range pricing. The device would be getting an update related to 5G network connectivity. Lau also disclosed that a few of the OnePlus flagship features will be cloned to these Nord smartphones in the upcoming days. He didn’t say anything more about this device but it was accidentally confirmed by himself in an interview.
