OnePlus Buds Design
Starting with the design, OnePlus has gone with a similar Design like that of the Apple Airpods. They have put the hard tipped ,half-in-ear Design , like the Airpods. If you don’t seem so comfortable with the hard tipped then I suggest you not to go with the buds. But if you are comfortable then go with the OnePlus Buds instead of the Airpods.
There are three colors available in India:
- The standard white
- Nord blue
The buds are pretty light in weight (4.7g) and with the bundled case (37g). The cool OnePlus Buds has a sound quality very similar to the apple Airpods It seems as if the real competitor OnePlus has in their minds is Apple’s Airpods as the design is similar, the audio quality and both of them have the active noise cancellation missing. While the apple Airpods are almost double the cost of OnePlus Buds.
OnePlus has put in really cool features in the buds. The best of all being the intuitive touch controls. You will get a true wireless experience as you can control your audio at your fingertips without any fuss.
You can customize the touch settings as you want.

You can customize these using a OnePlus phone supporting the OnePlus 6 series. It also supports Dolby Atmos experience starting from the OnePlus 7 .
It has a water resistant rating of IPX4 , so you can use your buds without any worries about splashes. Using the Bluetooth 5.0 , It connects quicker to a OnePlus phone and pretty quick even if it’s not.
The earphones and the bundled case together deliver up-to 30 hours of playback (volume set to 50%) ,with the case having a 430 mAh and a 35 mAh on each earbud. A 10 minute charge gives a backup of around 10 hours (with the case). You can get the case and earbuds from 0% to full charge in around 90 minutes.
Coming to the price, they come for ₹4,990 (Inclusive of all taxes) which definitely worth it. A quick comparison to the cost of Apple’s Airpods – ₹.12,990
