Nubia Red Magic 5S to launch in India Soon with Snapdragon 865

The China-based company ZTE Nubia, has entered the Indian market recently. Due to the lack in the quality of after sale service, Indians are not trusting this Chinese company. The ZTE Nubia company launched its Red Magic series of gaming smartphones in April month of 2018. It followed the trend of Asus ROG phones. Now, the company has launched its 9th gaming phone in line, the Nubia Red Magic 5S after the Red Magic 5G and Red Magic 5G Lite.

Red Magic 5S will feature an amazing display of 6.65-inch full HD+ AMOLED display. The display would have a follow-up response time of 14.9ms and sliding response time of 45ms. What makes it amazing is the 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch response rate. For those who are not into the technical depth of the specifications, in simple language, the phone will portray a less motion blur and a higher quality of images and videos. The display also has TUV Rheinland certification which means that the safety standards, manufacturing process and the quality production is certified. The display would also have up to 4096 whopping levels of automatic brightness adjustment setting. Other than this, there would also be an In-display fingerprint sensor included.

Nubia Red Magic 5S would have a high-end 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary sensor. The 8-megapixel secondary sensor with ultra-wide-angle lens and the 2-megapixel macro shooter would complete the triple camera setup at the rear. The front side of the phone will have an 8-megapixel selfie camera sensor. These might be the typical camera specifications that most smartphones in the market are giving these days. But in the Red Magic 5S, along with the high refresh rate, users will be able to shoot videos with a higher frame rate. This would result in a better quality than the phones which offer a 64-megapixel primary camera but with a low refresh rate.

Processing Power

The model, with the price it will be launched with, obviously has to offer the latest octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. This has a clock speed of 2.8GHz, coupled with 8GB RAM and the fastest 16GB RAM at a higher price. The smartphone would also have the latest Android version I.e., the Android 10 pre-installed with the Red Magic OS made specially to give the gaming feel.

The Nubia Red Magic 5S will sport an upgraded multi-dimensional cooling system ICE 4.0. This chip will allow the phone to use a combination of both thermal and air cooling to reduce heat generation. The cooling system also includes a high-efficiency centrifugal fan with a speed of 15000 rpm. The phone would have a transparent air duct design with aerospace-grade nano thermal material and 10 intelligent temperature sensors. Also, there is an L-shaped liquid cooling tube included in the phone to expel the heat from various components.

The processor would include 5G along with the typical connectivity options like, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack. To make your gaming experience better and to let you customize your device according to your choice, a connector like the Ice Dock, accelerometer, light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.

Trigger Buttons

The gaming phone would have 4D intelligent vibration and features a dual IC game Shoulder Trigger Buttons which have been improved with 320Hz touch refresh rate. This would provide the users with a better gaming experience.

The Nubia smartphone houses a 4500mAh battery. Nubia says that it can charge the phone from 0 to 68 per cent in 20 minutes and 100 per cent in just 39 minutes. This is also believable seeing its support for 55W air-cooled fast charging.

Nubia Red Magic 5S will come in 3 varieties, I.e., the 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage, the 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage and obviously the 16GB with 256GB internal storage variety. The phone would come in 2 colors which are Sonic Silver and Pulse. The first combo would come at a price of around Rs 40,630, the second Rs 47,035 and the last at Rs 53,450.

Nubia’s 16GB RAM model would be awaited since at such a price, getting a phone with such a RAM is rare. Also, for gamers, this phone would be evolutionary taking into consideration the distinctive features it adds for gamers. Being a new company, whether the people would trust ZTE Nubia or not is certainly a question here.
