New Xiaomi foldable smartphone is expected to be released later this year

The Chinese Smartphone giant Xiaomi has unveiled its first-ever foldable smartphone Mi Mix Fold in China, in March this year. The Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold was the company’s first attempt at a foldable smartphone. The smart device has a design similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and top-of-the-line hardware. Now, according to the sources, the firm is already working on a sequel. However, there is no official statement on the same.

Let’s take a closer look at the next Xiaomi new foldable smartphone, which is expected to ship later this year.

The device’s supposed specifications have leaked online ahead of its rumored introduction, the new phone is rumored to have a Snapdragon 888 processor. It supposedly has a 5,000mAh battery. In terms of optics, the device has a 108-megapixel camera sensor. Currently, the upcoming Mi Mix Fold’s whole internal structure is being evaluated. The next Mi foldable smartphone would use “proactive under-screen technology,” as per the reports by Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station.

The foldable smart device will have an upgraded hinge mechanism as well as an inward folding mechanism. This Xiaomi foldable is also supposed to have two displays: One large on the inside developed by Samsung and with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a smaller on the outside, made by Visionox and with a 90 Hz refresh rate. The cameras, RAM choices, and MIUI version of the forthcoming Mi Mix Fold smartphone are among the many unknowns.

Now, the question is will these new devices, like the present Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold and upcoming Xiaomi Mi foldable smartphone, be able to leave China or will they be confined to their domiciliary market only?

Xiaomi is said to be releasing its new foldable gadget in Q4 2021, according to the source. But as said earlier there is no official statement regarding the launch.
