New OnePlus Nord 2 render shows a punch-hole design with a single front-facing camera

The OnePlus Nord 2 5G has been lurking in the world of rumors for a long time and as the launch date of the most awaited smartphone is nearing, the new renders have astounded the entire technical world. The company has already started teasing the audience with the specifications the phone is going to carry. Moreover, the renders by Ishan Agarwal via 91 mobiles and 3D CAD @Onleaks reveal the complete design of the smartphone.

91 mobiles earlier provided us with the specifications of the phone and now the images shared shows the clear view of the smartphone from the front. Earlier it was said that the phone is the heir of the OnePlus Nord that showed up in July last year but as the specifications have been confirmed by the company we can see the similarity and differences between the old and the upcoming model.

The renders show that the smartphone will only have a single hole-punch cutout selfie camera instead of two at the upper left corner of the display. There will be slim bezels on all sides of the phone as shown in the images shared. The OnePlus Nord 2 will feature a triple camera setup and the main sensor will be the same as the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro, according to Ishan Agarwal. Optical Image Stabilization will be incorporated into the 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor. The two remaining cameras will feature ultra-wide and micro/depth sensors.

The listing of the phone on the Amazon app suggests that the phone will have a usual OnePlus orientation with a power button on the right and a volume button on the left side. At the bottom, we will see a cutout for the USB Type-C port and speaker. The details shared by the company on the Facebook social media app says that the OnePlus Nord 2 5G will feature an AMOLED display of 6.43 inches with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The phone will moreover have HDR10+ certification which was not there in the previous one. OnePlus officially confirmed that the device will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI SoC. Furthermore, the device is expected to be powered by a 4,200mAh battery and will support fast wired charging at 30W.

Currently, the company has commenced ‘The Lab programme’, fans can be a part of the programme by following the steps the company has arranged where fans can review and get a chance to grab the device for free. The smartphone will be launched in the Indian and European markets on the 22nd of July. Mark the date as the OnePlus Buds Pro will also be launched on the same date as the OnePlus Nord 2 5G.
