Specifications of the upcoming smartphones of the Pixel 6 series – the Google Pixel 6 and the Google Pixel 6 Pro have leaked online after Android 12 was unveiled recently at the Google I/O 2021. New leaks shed a light on the display, processor and other features of the new Pixel 6 series mobiles. Earlier the leaks had revealed the design of the smartphones. The company plans to launch the devices in October 2021 as per various reports. However, the Google Pixel 6 series launch may get delayed by a month due to the global chip shortage.
Tech tipster Max Weinbach revealed that Google Pixel 6 Pro phone will feature a 6.67-inch Quad-HD+120 Hz OLED display and the standard variant Google Pixel 6 will sport a Full- HD+120 Hz display. While speaking on the Mobile Tech podcast as a guest, he further revealed that Pixel 6 Pro will sport custom high-end cameras having a 50MP primary sensor, an ultrawide lens and a colour correction sensor. Previous leaks about the device had revealed that it will come with a 8 MP periscope lens setup which will feature a 5x optical zoom. It will also house a 5000 mAh battery.
The tipster has also claimed that the price of the upcoming Google Pixel 6 Pro will be around $1000 or approximately Rs 73,000. He has also claimed that that Google Silicon which is a 5nm chip and has been codenamed Whitechapel, will make a debut with the new Pixel 6 series launch and will be at par with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC as its performance would stand somewhere between the Snapdragon 888 and Snapdragon 865. Weinbach also revealed that the mobiles will support mmWave band and will feature a green colour also.
Another tipster, Yogesh wrote on his Twitter handle that Whitechapel’s performance is equivalent to the Snapdragon 870 as previously claimed by Weinbach. He also elaborated that Google is not trying to match the Snapdragon 888 in any way; instead its main focus is currently on Machine Learning and AI processes.
