Motorola’s next folding phone which was previously rumoured to go by the name MOTO RAZR has received information about the launch date by the company itself. There were many rumours and leaks about the phone until last week. The company was said to be sending media invites for the launch event of the Device. The invites said, “getting ready to flip the smartphone experience once again” on September 9th Strongly suggesting the launch of the Razr phone. The company also released a teaser in the form of a GIF about the Device.
The launch event will happen virtually, considering the pandemic situation in the world. and The design will be almost like the previous version, the MOTO RAZR 2019 phone and having major changes in the hardware. The MOTO RAZR 2020 is a direct rival to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 5G.
Design:
The device will be having a larger 6.2-inch, 21:9 aspect ratio Flex View P-OLED flexible screen with a no-gap hinge allowing the phone to fold well. The phone might also be having a secondary display, a 2.7-inch Quick View G-OLED which can be viewed on folding the phone.
Performance:
The device is said to be featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC, that apparently supports 5G network. The chipset will be paired with 8GB RAM and an expected built-in storage of 256GB. The phone will be running on Android 10 version and Motorola designed features like the Retro mode.
Camera:
Coming to the optics of the device, Motorala will be upgrading the camera a lot more than the predecessor which had a 16-megapixel primary camera at the rear and a 5-megapixel camera for selfies. The phone is expected to come with a high quality 48-megapixel primary camera and a 20-megapixel camera for selfies. The primary camera comes with a night vision mode and auto detection features.
Battery:
The phone will be housing an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric security. The smartphone is speculated to have a 2,845mAh battery and a support to 18W fast charging.
The colors on the device are expected to be Mercury silver and gold , the gold color looks like the one on RAZR 2019. There are no announcements about the price and availability of the Device yet The first foldable phone launched by Motorola, Moto Razr was priced at RS.1,24,999 in India.
Most of the people who plan to buy a foldable phone go for it mainly because of the nostalgic feel with the Design. We will have to wait for the company to reveal the RAZR 2020, so get ready to experience the virtual event on September 9th at your own comforts.
