Lenovo’s US subsidiary, Motorola Moto has been in the news in the last few days. It seems they are having a hard time keeping all their secrets locked in. There have been some number of leaks recently. The leaks pertain to their Moto E7 and Moto G9 series, specifically the Moto E7 Plus and the G9 Plus. They even accidentally made some other revelations about a soon to come device. This is none other than the upcoming 9th generation of their mid range Moto G series. This is the Moto G9, the soon to launch latest addition to the Moto G family of smartphone handsets.
It was determined previously that the latest Moto G addition will be unveiled in India. Online platforms of both the e-tailers- Flipkart and Motorola own, have been pretty active in teasing that “something big” might be coming our way, for some days now. This includes a Flipkart page dedicated to tease about the launch. But none of the involved parties revealed anything else. Not until now that is.
Launch Date and Time Revealed
In the latest development, Motorola itself had inadvertently revealed that the Moto G9 will be unveiled barely 2 days from today, i.e. on 24th August 2020, the coming Monday. Fans expect the latest device’s launch to be on 24th August at 12 PM noon. Expectations also suggest that it will be a simple social media announcement, instead of a virtual launch event. It remains unclear if the launch announcement will also include Moto G9 Plus and the Moto G9 Play as well.
Speculated Features of Moto G9
It is highly probable that the Moto G9 will be another mid range smartphone device to hit the market from Motorola. The Motorola and Flipkart collaborated teaser page dedicated for the launch makes some big promises. These include a “spectacular performance” from Moto G9 that will also supposedly have a “stunning camera” and a “massive battery.”
The “massive battery” exclamation suggests a battery of about 5,000 mAh or more, offering a decently high mobile up and run time. As the teaser page suggests, the device will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC chipset. But we do not know the specific model that will power the phone. The company does guarantee a “spectacular performance”, if that is anything to go by.
The Flipkart teaser page also suggests a water drop style notch. The design on the page also shows a slightly thick bezel to the bottom with other minimal bezels.
