Xiaomi owned sub brand, Redmi is planning to launch its Redmi 9 line up in India. Redmi fans have been awaiting the launch since long and now it is in the news again. Redmi 9 Leaks
In fact, very recently, the brand itself had confirmed the launch to arrive soon in India. Manu Kumar Jain, global VP at Xiaomi and MD at Xiaomi India, recently teased the launches of Redmi 9 products. While no official statement is given, fans expected that the products in question will be the rebranded and tweaked versions of the previously launched Redmi 9A and/ or Redmi 9C that were launched before. The teaser tweet also suggests that it will be very soon.
Soon after, Redmi India had itself confirmed through twitter the launch of Redmi 9 to come on 27th August 2020. Their website Mi.com now has a dedicated countdown page for the launch of the Redmi 9 in India as well. The page even displays some specs of the device as well.
All of these developments occurred in a span of a day or two. Amid the tweets aiming to generate more fanfare, now comes leaks barely a week before the expected launch. To clarify, the original Redmi 9 device was launched in India back on 4th August 2020. This is the one known as the Redmi 10X 4G in China. The Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C had launched earlier this year back in June. The upcoming launch on 27th August will be to announce the Redmi 9 as a tweaked and slightly different version of the Redmi 9C. And the device is also be available on Amazon India Website.
Redmi 9 Specifications
The leaks suggest most features of the device other than the price. Going by the leaks, the device will run on the MediaTek Helio G35 SoC chip set. It will expectedly have a 2 GB RAM with 32 GB ROM internal storage and 3 GB RAM with a 64 GB ROM internal storage. The display is supposed to have a 6.53 inch HD+ 1600 x 720 pixels LCD screen. The front will also have a dew drop notch hosting a 5MP selfie camera. The back will have a square module hosting a dual camera set up on the top left corner. The lens will include a 13MP wide angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. Apart from this, the rear will also have a fingerprint sensor for secured unlocking.
