Microsoft finally unveiled Surface Laptop 4 in India on Tuesday. The new device will cater to the needs of the general public as it has been developed keeping in mind the commercial and educational work environment. Rajiv Sodhi, the Chief Operating Officer of Microsoft India in an official statement said, “Our latest line-up provides increased mobility, enhanced performance, and enterprise-grade security features to support the modern-day user throughout their transition into the hybrid era,” indicating that the laptop will be available in India for customers who have to work in commercial and educational work environment. Furthermore, the laptop will be available for purchase on amazon.in as well as through authorized retailers across the country.
For consumer use, the laptop has been priced at Rs. 102,999 with specifications of AMD Ryzen 5 4680U, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD and 13.5-inch size while it will be available at a price of Rs 151,999 with specifications of Intel Core i5-1135G7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD and 13.5-inch. It is to be noted that for consumer use the device will be available with no cost EMI up to a period of nine months, starting at Rs 11,444 per month.
Whereas for commercial use the price starts at Rs 105,499 with specifications of AMD Ryzen 5 4680U, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD and 13.5-inch size and goes up to the price of Rs 177,499 with specifications of Intel Core i7-1185G7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD and 15-inch.
Other specifications for the Surface Laptop 4 are that it supports either the 11th Gen Intel Core processors or AMD Ryzen Mobile Processors with Radeon Graphics Microsoft Surface Edition (8 cores) depending on whether it is meant for consumer or commercial use. The device will also feature a 3:2 ‘PixelSense’ high-contrast touchscreen display in both 13.5-inch and 15-inch models and Dolby Atmos Omnisonic speakers.
The laptop has a built-in HD front camera with incredible quality and compatibility with low-light workspace for best experience as well as a studio microphone array which will enable enhanced meeting experiences at work. The company has also revealed that the device features integrated hardware, firmware, software and identity protection which will ensure better security and protection of the user data.
