India-based tech company Micromax finally launched their first truly wireless earbuds, Airfunk 1 and Airfunk 1 Pro, in India alongside their latest smartphone, namely the Micromax In 2b. The Airfunk 1 Pro being the high-end variant. The Micromax Airfunk 1 Pro features Qualcomm’s clear voice capture 8.0 for a refined microphone experience and noise cancellation support. On the other hand, the regular Airfunk 1 comes with an in-built voice-changing feature that can allow users to convert the tone of their voice, for example, changing a man’s voice into a woman’s voice or the opposite.
The earbuds would be available for purchase exclusively on Flipkart and micromaxinfo.com, August 18th onwards. Black, Red, Blue, Yellow, and White are the colors that the Airfunk 1 Pro will sport, whereas the Airfunk 1 will be available in Black, Blue, Purple, Yellow, and White color options.
Micromax Airfunk 1 Pro Specification & Price:
Priced at Rs. 2,499, the Airfunk 1 Pro comes with touch controls and an egg-shaped charging case. Additionally, the earbuds come with Qualcomm clear voice capture, a refined microphone using experience, and ambient noise. The QCC 3040 SoC chipset powers the earbuds for high-quality wireless usage. Airfunk 1 Pro also sports environment noise cancellation, which can reduce ambient noise up to 25db. The 13mm drivers of the Airfunk 1 Pro are superior and provide a bass-full audio experience. Under connectivity, the Pro’s come with Bluetooth v5.2.
The Battery-life of the Airfunk 1 Pro claims to offer 7 hours of playback time with a single charge and 32 hours of playback time with the charging case. Micromax also claims that the earbuds provide up to a whopping 740 hours of standby time. In other features, the frequency range that the earbuds provide is from 20Hz-20,000Hz and supports IP44 rating water-resistance. In addition, the touch features come with support for Google Assistant too.
Micromax Airfunk 1 Specifications & Price:
Priced at Rs. 1,299, the Airfunk 1 also carries an in-ear design, Bluetooth v5. However, the most prominent feature is the voice-changing feature that the user can access by press & holding the right earbud for three seconds to change the voice to a male voice, and the user can hold the left earbud for three seconds to switch to a female voice. This particular feature is quite interesting as it does not come in-built in other earbuds, especially at this price point.
Unlike the Pro’s, the regular Airunk 1 comes with 9mm drivers. The Airfunk 1 sports the same frequency range and the IP44 rating as the Pros. However, the battery capacity of the Airfunk 1 is low compared to the Pros, at 5 hours of playback time with a single charge and 15 hours with a charging case.
Both the earphones are priced pretty low and come under the budget category. However, they come packed with a good amount of features and qualities for the price, which provide a premium touch to them—especially the Airfunk 1 Pro.
