Before you start to read this article and know about the all new LG Velvet, you should first know that even LG makes trustable smartphones. We generally underestimate the phones from companies like this but to prove us wrong, LG is launching its 5G enabled Velvet soon. Right now, the phone is only in the South Korean and the American markets. But its speculated to hit the Indian market soon.
The new LG Velvet 5G will come with a 6.8 inches P-OLED screen with a support for LG Dual Screen cover. It would be a High Definition+ display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2460 and 395ppi pixels density. This would give the device a vivid and glossy look. The device, like the smartphones in trend now, would also be bezel-less with a water drop notch design for the front camera. The device will also use the latest graphic card from Qualcomm that would be the Adreno 620. This GPU would give users an appealing display in terms of the appearance. Other than this, the device will have an In-Screen Fingerprint scanner embedded inside the display.
Talking about the camera, Velvet has a beautifully arranged triple camera setup in a single straight line. It has a 48 megapixels primary camera which would be supported by the 8-megapixel wide lens and a 5 megapixels depth lens. For the front camera, it will sport a 16-megapixel shooter embedded in the water drop notch display.
Processor and Connectivity
The LG Velvet will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G clocking at a speed of 2.5GHz with support of 5G connectivity. The QUALCOMM Snapdragon 765G chipset coupled with the Adreno 620 GPU will be a deadly combination as according to Qualcomm, the Adreno 620 in the 765G is 10% faster than the one in the 765 and 20% faster than the old Adreno 618. Not only this, but the internal hardware is completed with the 8GB RAM that would provide the users with a lag-free and seamless performance.
This being said, the LG Velvet would obviously have the support of 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS connectivity.
The device would carry a 4000mAh battery. It is said to provide 12 hours of talk time along with higher productivity. It would support both wired and wireless charging and is said to have a fast 30W refill rate to provide better everyday functionality.
Lastly, the LG Velvet 5G will bring along 128GB storage which can be further expanded to 2TB.
The smartphone will make its debut in India on 28th August 2020 with a pricing of approximately ₹ 56000. Though the device has some promising speculations, whether it would flourish in the Indian market is questionable. This is because, firstly, Indians look for the best functionality at the lowest price. And second, if a person were to buy a phone with a price of this range, due to the lack of marketing of LG, the person would go for the other renowned brands such as Samsung or even the older models of Apple.
