Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4, L13 Gen 2, L13 Yoga Gen 2, IdeaPad 5i and Flex 5i laptops launched

Lenovo has unveiled its new ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4, ThinkPad L13 Gen 2, ThinkPad L13 Yoga Gen 2, IdeaPad 5i and IdeaPad Flex 5i Chromebook models. The 4th generation ThinkPad X1 Extreme is a flagship laptop and comes with a thin and light weighted carbon body. Lenovo has also launched a bunch of electronic accessories such as mice, keyboards, chargers and webcams.

ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4:

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4 laptop dimensions measure 359.9×253.8×17.7 mm and weigh only 1.81KG making it an extremely slim and light laptop. The device runs on Windows 10 Pro and comes with a 16-inch 4K display with 10-bit colours and a 6:10 aspect ratio. The ThinkPad X1 Extreme sports an 11th Generation Intel Core i9 H-series vPro processor along with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 graphics up to 16GB VRAM.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4

The laptop features a 64GB DDR4 RAM of 3,200MHz and supports an M.2 PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage of 2TB. The laptop is backed up with a 90Whr battery and is claimed to have a 10.7 hours life on a single charge. The device comes with a Dolby Atmos speaker system for high sound quality. Talking about the connectivity, it features Wi-Fi 6E, an optional 5G wireless WAN, Bluetooth v5.2, an SD card reader, two USB Type-C 3.1 ports. It sports a 3.5mm headphone jack and an optional nano-slim slot.

ThinkPad L13 Gen 2 and L13 Yoga Gen 2:

Talking about the ThinkPad L13 Gen 2 and ThinkPad L13 Yoga Gen 2, both the laptops offer almost similar specifications as both run on Windows 10 Pro and feature a 13.3-inch Full HD display. However, the ThinkPad L13 Gen 2 has an optional touch display while the Yoga Gen 2 has only a touch screen display. Both are powered by AMD Ryzen 5000 Pro series processors and sports AMD Radeon graphics. The laptops run on 16GB DDR4 RAM of 3,200MHz and have a 1TB PCIe SSD storage.

Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Gen 2 and L13 Yoga Gen 2

Both the laptops are backed up by a 46Whr battery and can run for 10 hours on a single charge. As per connectivity specs, both the laptops sports Wi-Fi 6, HDMI 2.0 port, two USB Type-C 3.2 port. It also features Bluetooth V5.1 connectivity and comes with a 3.5mm audio jack. The ThinkPad L13 Gen 2 weighs around 1.43KG while the Yoga Gen 2 weighs 1.38KG. However, the dimensions of both the laptops are the same, that is, 311.5x219x17.6mm.

IdeaPad 5i and IdeaPad Flex 5i Chromebook:

Apart from the ThinkPad laptops, Lenovo also launched IdeaPad 5i Chromebook and IdeaPad Flex 5i Chromebook. Both the devices run on Chrome OS of Google and sport Intel Core i5-1135G7 CPU. The IdeaPad 5i comes with a 14-inch Full HD touch display with a resolution of 1,920×1,080 pixels and the IdeaPad Flex 5i sports a 13.3-inch Full HD touch display with 1,920×1,080 pixels resolution.

Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i Chromebook

The Lenovo IdeaPad 5i runs up to 8GB LPDDR4 RAM with 512GB SSD storage, while the IdeaPad Flex 5i powers a single 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with up to 512GB PCIe SSD storage. Lenovo has claimed that both the Chromebook offers a 10-hour performance on a single charge. The device will come with 2W stereo speakers facilitating wave audio tuning. The IdeaPad 5i weighs 1.5KG while the IdeaPad Flex 5i weighs 1.35KG. 

Price:

Talking about the price of these laptops, Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4 starts from EUR 2,090 (approx. Rs 1.8 lakh), the ThinkPad L13 Gen 2 is starts at EUR 649 (approx. Rs. 57,600) and the ThinkPad L13 Yoga Gen 2 laptop starts at EUR 749 (approx. Rs. 66,500). All three laptops will be available in the market from August 2021. 

Starting price for both the Chromebooks are the same as that of EUR 399 (approx. Rs 35,400). The IdeaPad Flex 5i will be open for sale from this month and will come in two different colours, Abyss blue and Iron grey. On the other hand, IdeaPad 5i will be open for sale in July 2021 and will come in Sand and Storm grey colour.
