Samsung is ready to introduce two tabs together one is Galaxy Tab S7 and the other is Tab S7 plus. With their launch just around the corner (which means 5th August), you must have become so curious to know what they have to offer you. But the questions arise: do you really need to consider these devices, especially when you already have S6? Is it worth upgrading from Tab S6 to S7?
Let’s kick off your dilemma by providing you all the information we have:
The Release date and Price
As Samsung’s “Unpacked” event is just tomorrow, it is highly expected that Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 Plus will be launched on 5th August. Although we are not sure of its release date, it definitely makes sense if these devices launch with other Samsung devices like Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Fold 2.
As far as the price is concerned, it’s still not confirmed what exactly Tab S7 and Tab S7 Plus are going to cost you. But we can surely guess the price by shedding a light on the S6 which had a price tag of $649/Rs 48,763. So we can assume Tab S7 is going to cost you more than this as it will be having a bigger display (for sure) and 5G connectivity.
Processor & Camera
It is highly expected that Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7 Plus will be in multiple sizes having bigger screens. Another worth noting information is Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 Plus will be running on Snapdragon 865 plus which is absolutely a significant upgrade. So if you use your tablet for works like video editing or graphic designing, this is really good news for you. But one thing didn’t get upgraded and that is the Camera, it’s still a 13MP primary sensor, 5 MP ultra-wide-angle and 8 MP for the front (a bit disappointing).

Display
Now coming to the interesting part, Tab S7 and Tab S7 plus both are going to have a 120HZ refresh rate, it’s going to be super smooth. You get pretty big screens for both the devices, an 11-inch screen for S7, and a 12.4-inch screen for S7 Plus. But the downside is Tab 7 will be having an LCD screen, which might disappoint you. If you ask me, I’d suggest you upgrade from S6 to S7 Plus as it will be a more significant upgrade for sure. Also, it is rumored that the tablet will come with the S Pen stylus which was quite predictable. This device might have 6GB RAM and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor (another disappointment maybe).
Talking about the Battery
The size of the battery inside the Galaxy S7 will be exactly the size of S6, 7,040mAh (expected). But, considering its 5G compatibility, more powerful processor, and 120 Hz refresh rate, your battery is going to die sooner.
Considering all the information, if you have a galaxy Tab 6 and it’s working perfectly fine then you don’t really need to upgrade. But yes, if you need extra power and speed then S7 and S7 plus are the right devices to pick.
