Infinix is a Hong Kong-based smartphone maker founded in 2013. It seems that the company is set to add a new smartphone to its portfolio soon. Infinix Zero 8, a new smartphone by the company, has made its way to the Google Play Console listing. This revealed some of the details of the upcoming product. The company had also published a teaser video of the phone, but it was later removed for unknown reasons. This hints at an imminent launch. The new phone Infinix Zero 8 has also been spotted on the TUV Rheinland certification website. Infinix Zero 8 smartphone has model number Infinix-X687.
Infinix Zero 8 will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G90 processor at the heart of the device. The phone will run on Android 10 OS out of the box. It will feature a full HD+ display. The device will come with a resolution of 1080×2460 pixels. The phone will also have 480 DPI. The display size can be between 6.2-inch to 6.5-inch. The display will offer support for 90Hz refresh rate camera and also 180Hz touch sampling rate display. And it will most likely feature a dual-punch hole cut out for the selfie snapper. This will be present at the top left corner. The device will have a power button at the right side.
The listing suggests that the new smartphone will get 8GB RAM and Mali G76 GPU. Also, the promo video of Infinix Zero 8 shared by Venkatesh Babu.G in his twitter reveals some features of the smartphone. The phone can get a 64-megapixel quad rear camera setup, in a prism-shaped module. On the front, it is likely to pack dual cameras inside the punch hole, for selfies and video calls. These will include a 48MP primary lens and an 8MP wide-angle lens. The device will have 4,400mAh battery capacity. The device also has a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers. It will also support a 3.5mm headphone jack along with the charging port placed at the bottom of the phone.
As for now, above stated specifications are only revealed. Other details will be probably revealed at the time of official announcement and launch. The price and availability of the phone is also not known. However, looking at the specifications, it can be said the smartphone will come with a mid-range budget friendly price tag.
