On Monday, Infinix announced a 60-day extended warranty on its smartphones for users in India. The company, Infinix, announced this warranty extension scheme, due to the unprecedented rise in Covid-19 cases in India.
Well, this comes as a surprising news for all Infinix smartphone users in India. However, the important thing to note here is that the extended warranty scheme applies to Infinix handsets with warranty ending between 15th April to 16th June, 2021.
Now, to check if your smartphone is eligible to benefit from this scheme, you just need to follow few steps:
- First, users will have to register their handset on CarlCare app, which comes pre-installed on all Infinix smartphones. Users need to register on CarlCare app before 30th June, 2021.
- Next, to further apply for the extension: Open CarlCare application, and then click on the warranty button you see there.
- You will be redirected to HomePage, where you will have to enter your handset’s IMEI number.
That being said, if your device is eligible to avail the 60-day warranty extension, then a warranty extension button or option. Tap on it, and you will receive the extended warranty scheme.
While this news may have come as good news for Infinix users. Infinix is not the only brand that has announced this scheme. Only last week, Xiaomi announced the same scheme, extending their devices warranty period by 2 months, devices with expiring dates in May – June, 2021. Oppo has also extended repair warranty on their devices till June 30, along with Poco & Vivo with the same extended warranty announcement.
