Huawei has finally released their latest P50 series, which features the original P50 model and the P50 Pro model. Additionally, Huawei also launched their latest wearables, namely the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro and the Huawei Band 6 Pro. Both the smartphone and the wearables come packed with new and upgraded features and look quite promising.
The smartphones, Huawei P50 & P50 Pro, come with upgraded cameras and the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC processors. Apart from that, the smartphone comes with a sleek-looking bezel-less display with a center-aligned drop as the housing for the front camera. Compared to the P40 models, the front-camera housing is much better and gives more room to the display. The backside of the smartphone is very interesting as the housing for the rear-cameras is in a dual-circular setup, giving it a unique and exciting look. This particular feature will definitely help the P50 and P50 models stand out from their competition. The P50 and the P50 Pro will be available in Ripple Blue and Pink color variants.
Huawei P50 Price & Specifications:
The P50 comes with a 6.5-inch FHD+ OLED display, with a high 90Hz of refresh rate. Additionally, the display is also capable of projecting up to 1.03 billion colors. The processor that powers the smartphone is the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. The smartphone comes in only two storage options, the 128GB model priced at CNY 4,500 (Rs. 52,000) and the 256GB model priced at CNY 5,000 (Rs. 58,000), accompanied by an 8GB RAM. The smartphone runs on HarmonyOS 2 based on Android 11.
The camera setup of the P50 comes with a triple camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 12MP telephoto shooter that has OIS support. The front camera of the phone is a 13MP camera that can be used for selfies. The crazy part about the camera is the 5X optical zoom capability and a whopping 50X digital zoom capability. The camera of the phone is also equipped with state-of-the-art RGB detection and XD Fusion Pro graphics engine for image enhancements.
The smartphone’s battery is reasonably sized at 4100mAh, charged up with 66W fast charging. Additionally, it has an IP68 rating, dual-SIM support, Bluetooth v5.2, and support for wireless charging.
Huawei P50 Pro Price & Specifications:
The Huawei P50 Pro’s specifications are more or less the same except the processor options, the storage options, and the screen size. The Huawei P50 Pro has a 6.6-inch FHD+ OLED Display that can provide a crazy 120Hz refresh rate. And has the capability of displaying up to 1.07 billion colors. Additionally, consumers can choose between two processors while buying the P50 Pro, the Kirin 9000 variant, and the Snapdragon 888 variant. Unfortunately, both models of the phone only support 4G connectivity.
The camera setup of the P50 Pro consists of a quad-camera setup. They include two primary cameras of 50MP and a 40MP B&W sensor. Additionally, it comes with a 13MP ultra-wide sensor and a 64MP telephoto shooter. All lenses are OIS, and AIS enabled, giving them super stability. The front camera is of a 13MP sensor and has autofocus and AIS, which can be great for clicking selfies. The zoom on the P50 Pro’s camera supports 3.5x optical zoom, 20x hybrid zoom, and a whopping 100x digital zoom.
The battery of the P50 Pro will be slightly bigger, at 4360mAh, than the vanilla P50. And will support 66W fast-charging and 50W wireless fast-charging. The Pro also supports an IP68 rating.
The P50 Pro comes In four different storage options that include 8GB RAM plus 128GB storage priced at CNY 6,000 (Rs. 69,000), the 8GB RAM plus 256GB storage priced at CNY 6500 (Rs. 75,000), the 8GB RAM plus 512GB storage priced at CNY 7500 (Rs. 86,000). The 12 GB RAM plus 512GB variant includes two models, the Collector’s edition Black model priced at CNY 8500 (Rs. 98,000) and the Ripple Blue model priced at CNY 8000 (Rs. 92,000).
The P50 models will be available to Global markets soon but will only provide 4G support despite being a premium smartphone. But the models stay true to what Huawei Phone cameras plan to offer.
In the wearable category, Huawei launched their new Huawei GT 2 Pro ECG and the Huawei Band 6. The smartwatch will be available in an Obsidian Black variant, whereas the band will be available in Magic Night and Mica Gray color variants. The sales for the following wearables will start from August 20th onwards, so keep an eye out.
Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro ECG Price & Specifications:
Priced at CNY 3088 (Rs. 35,500) for the sole Obsidian Black color variant, the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro consists of a 1.39-inch AMOLED round touchscreen display. A sapphire glass protects the display, and the body of the watch is made out of titanium, giving the smartwatch a premium and robust build. The smartwatch also comes with multiple sensors, including an accelerometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, optical heart rate sensor, ambient light sensor, barometric pressure sensor, and a capacitive sensor.
The smartwatch additionally offers 5ATM water-resistance, which makes the device durable. The processor that the smartwatch carries onboard is the Kylin A1 processor, accompanied by 4GB of storage. The watch is also compatible with Android 5.0 and iOS 9.0 devices. The connectivity options of the watch include GPS, NFS, and Bluetooth v5.1. Additionally, the smartwatch also offers 12 days of battery life with a single charge.

Priced at CNY 449 (Rs. 5,100) available in Magic Night and Mica Gray color variants, the Huawei Band 6 Pro comes with a 1.47-inch AMOLED display with touchscreen capability. Additionally, the body of the band is made of durable polymer fiber and silicone. It shares the same 5ATM water-resistance rating as the GT 2 Pro.
The sensors that the band carries onboard include, accelerometer, gyroscope, and optical heart rate sensor. The band also comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v5 connectivity. And the battery of the band can provide juice for 14 days and is iOS and Android compatible.
The band can also provide navigational controls to control music, check texts, check the weather, etc. Additionally, it also provides support for up to 11 different exercise modes and 85 different sports modes. The Huawei Band 6 Pro is a pretty fantastic wearable in the budget category of wearables and could be a great companion for your smartphone.
