HTC Wildfire E2 smartphone goes on Sale Ahead of Official Launch in Russia

HTC has silently started sale of a new smartphone namely HTC Wildfire E2. It has started sales of the new device ahead of any official announcement. It is a new mid-ranger phone by the company.

The phone is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762D) SoC. The device has a PowerVR GE8320 GPU. In addition, it runs on the Android 10 operating system. This will provide a smooth gaming and multitasking experience. It features a bezel-less display with water drop-style notch.

The smartphone features a 6.21-inch HD+ IPS display. It has a resolution of 720×1,560 pixels. Also, the phone gets a screen to body ratio of over 89 percent, 19:5 aspect ratio. The pixel density is 271pixel per inch. The phone measures 158.4 x 75.9 x 8.95 mm and weighs 173.5 grams. The in-built storage is 64GB. And it is also expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It supports dual-SIM (Nano). These features make HTC Wildfire E2 a new entry-level option.

HTC Wildfire E2 comes with a decent camera setup. It has dual rear camera setup. The camera consists of a 16-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens, and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. It also has autofocus and LED flash. There is also an 8-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front for selfies, with an f/2.2 lens. The Wildfire E2 is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30FPS with the main rear camera. The camera has other features such as ISO Control, Exposure Compensation, HDR, Continuous Shooting, Digital Zoom, Touch to focus, and Face Detection.

Also, for easily unlocking the screen there is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor . The phone comes with a 4,000mAh battery that charges through a USB-C port. It can also offer up to 20 hours of talk time, 25 hours of music playback, and 6 hours of video playback.

The phone supports connectivity features like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and also a 3.5mm headphone jack. It has sensors including an accelerometer, ambient light, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.

HTC Wildfire E2 costs roughly Rs. 8,900. It comes with 4GB RAM + 64GB in-built storage variant (according to a report by Russian site Helpix). The new smartphone has been listed on online store Citilink.ru. It is available in two distinct colors namely Black and Blue colour options. There are no official details regarding the availability of phones in global markets.
