Google’s Bedtime Digital Wellbeing Feature is also set to take care of your Sleep Schedule

Google’s Bedtime tab that was earlier available only on Pixel devices will now be available on almost all Android devices. It is available on Android 6.0 and higher. Google officially announced this in a blog post. This will be available in the Clock app. Bedtime Digital Wellbeing will help users in maintaining a consistent sleep schedule. It will also track screen time at night and set a sleep playlist. It can be used by activating Android’s Digital Wellbeing features and using the Clock app.

How will Bedtime Tab work?

Google’s Bedtime Tab will remind users when it is time for bed. At night, when it is bedtime, your phone will automatically start to dim. It will give subtle lighting and sound cues. This will remind you that it is time for you to go to bed. Also, notifications will shut off after a certain hour, emails and texts will be paused. In addition, you can fall asleep to soothing sounds from Calm, Spotify, YouTube Music and more. Bedtime Digital Wellbeing feature will also enable users to also wake up more gently with visual cues from the Sunrise Alarm and your favourite sounds or song. So, now Google will take care of your sound sleep schedule.

The lockdown has disrupted everyone’s sleep schedule. It is a known fact now. Many times, after retiring to bed, we open our social media account, and then we find ourselves scrolling the news feed for an hour or more. People who are book addicts and prefer reading at night just forget that they have to sleep too. And not to forget the craze of completing entire web series in a night. So, to limit all this and to disciple you, Google will help now. Google also claims that this feature can help you get natural sleep, again. All the people who have ruined their sleep schedule surely miss this.

Google said in the blog post, “Remember that time when checking one notification turned into staying up an hour past your bedtime? We bet you were not too happy. So, we created Bedtime mode to remind you when it is time for bed and limit interruptions by keeping your phone dark and quiet while you sleep.”

The Bedtime Digital Wellbeing Feature is now available in the Clock app for devices running on Android 6.0 and above. If you have Digital Well-being installed in your phone, then turn on Bedtime mode in your settings. You can also schedule it directly from the Clock app.
