Fitbit Versa 3, Fitbit Sense Smartwatch Images Leaked, reveals design and specs

Google announced it was buying Fitbit last year for $2.1 billion. Also, it hoped to complete the deal some time in 2020. But Google’s deal with Fitbit keeps getting delayed. The company is going to launch new smartwatches soon. Fitbit can launch not one, but three new smartwatches. Today WinFuture posted some images of three upcoming products from Fitbit. Fitbit Inspire 2, Fitbit Versa 3 and Fitbit Sense smartwatch images have been leaked. The leaked images reveal design and specifications of the upcoming smartwatch models. Fitbit unveiled the Versa 2 smartwatch last August.

Fitbit Versa 3:

The Fitbit Versa 3 has a squircle-shaped display. There is microphone, location and 50M icons below, which suggests voice controls, built-in GPS and 50 meters water resistance. The icons for these can be seen on the under-side of the watch, below the charging mechanism. If Google closes its deal with Fitbit, then the company would probably install its own voice assistant on the watch. There is also a heart on the display and the sensors on the back of the watch. This suggests a way to measure heart rate on the Versa 3.

Fitbit Sense:

The Fitbit Sense looks similar to the Versa 3. It has metallic finishes and different sensors on board. It has more premium looking design. The home screen in the renders suggests that the smartwatch will come with heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking and step counter. It has a heart rate sensor and charging pins. The icon on the Fitbit Sense suggests the presence of ECG/EKG functionality. There is no microphone on the back of Fitbit Sense. Fitbit Sense looks little costly.

Both Versa 3 and Sense will no longer have physical buttons. It appears that Fitbit has tweaked the button design. The button on the previous generation smartwatch was more prominent. Fitbit Versa 2 offered a single, multi-use button. Now, there is an indented notch on the side. This appears to be similar to the pressure-sensitive “inductive button.” On the other hand, Fitbit Inspire 2, have no button. It only has capacitive area seen on some earlier trackers.

As of now, the company has not shared any information regarding the new smartwatches. The fact that the company can launch three watches, is exciting. It will also be interesting to see how this new smart watch performs against Samsung and Apple’s smartwatches. The new smartwatch models are expected to launch later this year.
