Dimensity 800U Powered Oppo Smartphone to Come in August

BBK Electronics Corporation owned Chinese subsidiary, Oppo plans to unveil a new product. Oppo has established itself as a popular smartphone brand providing goods value for money in many markets. And their product lineups seems to be an unending series. With a new device coming out ever so often, it seems that Oppo fans and customers are spoilt for choice. But what makes the new launch any different? Why is it special? Now that we have covered the basics, let us go ahead. So in a recent development, a Chinese tipster recently leaked that Oppo is working on a new smartphone that is expected to run on the latest Dimensity 800U. Oppo may unveil the device handset sometime towards the end of this month or by the next month.

MediaTek had very recently launched the Dimensity 800 Ultra (Dimensity 800U) SoC chip set. This latest addition to the Dimensity series of product line ups cater towards 5G supporting smartphones in the mid price range.

Multiple posts by this tipster on the social media platform, Weibo reveals some other details. These include some leaks about features and specs that we can expect to look forward to from Oppo.

Coming to the display, the leaks suggest that the latest Dimensity 800U powered Oppo smartphone will showcase an OLED screen together with a punch-hole design. The leaks further suggest that 4,300 mAh battery may power the device as well. A 4,300 mAh battery will give users a long screen time usage capability. What’s more is that it can be quickly charged up too. The tipster hints at 65W fast charging capability. This will ensure very little down time, a good feat for users who are especially addicted to mobiles and glued to their screens.

Further and more recent leaks from the tipster divulges some other details too. They suggest that this device in the works belongs to the Oppo Reno 4 series line up. It will supposedly weigh about 169 grams as per the leak’s suggestion. The tipster hints that we can expect the device to be unveiled by Oppo come August end, or sometime in early September itself, this year.
