Dell is an American multinational computer technology company that develops, sells, repairs, and supports computers and related products and services. The company has launched a fresh XPS laptop ‘Dell XPS 17‘ in the India market. The Laptop is badged with Creator Edition on Dell.com to support hobbyists and creative enthusiasts.
Dell XPS 17 is powered by a 10th-generation Intel Core i7 CPU, 8GB RAM. It has 1TB storage. It comes with pre-installed Windows 10 Home. In addition, the device has dedicated Nvidia GPU which helps with gaming as well. It features a 17.0-inch full-HD+ InfinityEdge anti-glare display. Further it is thin and light laptop. It boasts of slim bezels on all four sides of the display.
The company claimed, a 4-sided “InfinityEdge” display will help bring the size of the laptop almost 48 per cent down to about 15-inch laptops available today. In addition, it has screen resolution of 1,920×1,200 pixels with 16:10 aspect ratio and peak brightness of 500 nits. The company also give an option for a UHD display with 3,840×2,160 pixels. This laptop measures 248.05×374.45×19.5mm. It has a starting weight of 2.1kg.
The company said in a statement, “The optional 4K Ultra HD+ (3840 x 2400) resolution provides pinpoint accuracy, precise detail, and sharp images and an immersive viewing experience. The Eye safe display technology helps reduce harmful blue light while maintaining vivid colours.”
It features a carbon fiber keyboard deck. It is placed above the large touchpad that comes with gesture support. Further, the key feature of the laptop is colour accurate display. This is most ideal for creative purposes.
The laptop will come with a 97Wh battery as well. The device also has a thermal design equipped with GORE Thermal Insulation for better fan airflow. It will also feature Waves Nx 3D audio for speakers tuned by multi-Grammy Award winning producer Jack Joseph Puig. It has Windows Hello facial recognition for easy logins.
The Laptop will support connectivity features like Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650, Bluetooth 5.1, four Thunderbolt 3 ports, a full-size SD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack. Also, the Laptop will come with a built-in lid sensor. This will allow the laptop to automatically power on when the lid is opened.
The Dell XPS 17 9700 price in India starts at Rs. 2,09,500 for the base model. The laptop is available for purchase in India through Amazon, Dell India website, and Dell Exclusive Stores.
