Apple 2020 launch Event – 7 Expected Upcoming Products

We are past mid August and with September around the corner, a time for Apple fans to start getting excited. Any Apple enthusiast would know, it is around fall when the Cupertino tech giant introduces its latest additions. While it is generally one big hardware event, things could be different this year with the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns. There were rumors of a slowdown in Apple’s supply chain and possibilities of delayed launches. Similarly, it is possible that instead of the general one big hardware event, Apple may make separate announcements and launches. No matter what it is, Apple fans are still stoked about all the upcoming product launches. Let’s talk about the Upcoming 2020 Launch Event of Apple, and what we expect from Apple to launch.

So, without further ado, let’s have a look at what we can expect from the upcoming Apple 2020 launch event!

1. Apple Watch Series 6

Apple will most likely launch the Apple Watch Series 6, a new generation of Apple Watches. The design will be probably similar to that of the Series 5, without much changes. But we will see some differences in features, abilities, improved battery life and a newer chip set. However, the big rumored upgrade that steals the spotlight is a dedicated sensor for blood oxygen monitoring. It will especially benefit sportspeople and sports enthusiasts. Additionally, it will also include a sleep tracking app for its wearers.

2. iPhone 12 Series

There are lots of rumors and leaks floating around about the iPhone 12 series. This will likely be the star of the event announcements. There will be not 1 or 2, but a total of 4 new iPhones announced in this line up. Apart from design changes, they will run on Apple’s A14 Bionic chipset. As for the screen size, expectations are for the iPhone 12 to be 5.4 inches; iPhone 12 Max iPhone 12 Pro to be 6.1 inches and the iPhone 12 Pro Max to be 6.7 inches.

3. HomePod Mini

Rumors have spread around over recent months about the possibility of a new version of HomePod Mini. This will likely be a mini version- the HomePod Mini. Apple plans to be competitive in the smart speaker market by offering a cheaper and smaller HomePod. It will likely match the sound quality and features of the original HomePod too, if not better.

4. AirPods Studio

Apple’s AirPods is a much popular accessory among fans. Newer models add on to the excitement and bring in big bucks for the company. Fans expect Apple to launch a newer pair of high end wireless over ear headphones, the AirPods Studio. In line with the high end specs, it will directly compete with Sony WH-1000XM4 and the Bose Headphones 700 as well.

5. Entry Level iPad

Earlier in March 2020, Apple had refreshed their iPad Pro lineup. But, it seems that they have more plans for the iPad segment. Fans speculate that there may be another refresh for the entry level iPad. The new updated device is thought to have a 10.8 inch screen with thick bezels. While the design will mostly be the same, the price range remains to be known.

6. Apple TV

Rumors indicate that we could expect Apple launching an upgrade over the current Apple TV streaming device. Other reports and rumors suggest the Apple TV to run on the A12X processor having 64 GB or 128 GB storage, apart from coming with a new remote as well. We are mostly in the dark about other specs of the device.

7. Apple AirTags

Last but not the least, the Apple fan base is rife with speculations that there might be AirTags Bluetooth trackers that may hit the market. In terms of performance and operations, fans expect them to be similar to Tile trackers. The AirTags can be attached to luggage, backpack, wallets etc. to track them using the iOS Find My app. It is even possible that there may be AR support to help users find lost objects within a room.

So, there we have all that we can expect from the upcoming launch. But what changes can we expect to see in their mode of announcement? Will it be one big event like always? Or will there be separate announcements over time?
